Turnkey School Campus Multi-Play Station & Safety EPDM Surfacing

Project Overview

Greenwood International Academy sought to build a modern, high-safety playground zone for over 800 primary students (ages 3–12). The school required equipment certified to strict child safety standards (zero sharp edges, anti-pinch swing chains, non-toxic food-grade plastics) combined with soft, impact-attenuating safety flooring.

Infrastructure & Equipment Specifications

Gymscape’s playground division engineered a customized modular multi-play structure engineered for high-throughput daily student activity.

Project Deliverables:

1. Multi-Deck Institutional Play Station:
   • 3-Deck interconnected towers with GI 114mm Grade-A structural columns and anti-rust pure polyester powder coating.
   • Dual UV-stabilized virgin LLDPE rotomoulded spiral tube slides, wave slide, and toddler entry steps.
   • Suspension rope bridge, horizontal loop climber, and interactive tic-tac-toe sensory panels.
2. Inclusive Heavy-Duty Swings & Paired See-Saws:
   • 4-seat swing frame featuring anti-wrap stainless steel sealed bearings and rubberized bucket seats for toddlers.
   • 4-seater spring-damped heavy-gauge see-saw.
3. 30mm Seamless EPDM Safety Flooring:
   • 20mm recycled SBR base cushion layer for high fall attenuation.
   • 10mm top wear layer of premium virgin EPDM rubber granules in vibrant blue, green, and yellow custom thematic patterns.
   • Water-permeable and non-slip even during monsoon downpours.

Safety & Compliance Outcome

• Fully compliant with EN-1176 / ASTM F1487 child safety clearance standards.
• Critical Fall Height (CFH) certified for falls up to 2.4 meters.
• Zero maintenance incidents during full academic term.
